Have you ever been there?

Many times. I'll agree with you on Beale St, and the BBQ, but it's an ugly, flat, crap town. The first time I went there I counted 6 stripped cars along the freeway up on blocks. Hey, how about that Mud Island? I do like the hushpuppies at Catfish Corner though.
