Total Service Disruption today?

I just want to make friends!
"“FedEx has contingency plans in place to lessen the effects of severe weather on our operations and service. Our priorities are always the safety and well-being of our team members and providing the best service possible,” a company statement said."

Really? Most of east coast/midwest the USA can be trucked 11 hours by a contractor to a local hub and then the local CTV could pick it up from there... but they decided to sit on the freight for a plane....

What good is freight that's 11 hours late?

So most of the freight is late today. I took out a few FO and now manager wants me to take break while waiting for freight. Um, no. Her response, Okay, go home then.
I know she’s going to try to not pay me my four hours show up time. Sighhhh. I’m so tired of fighting.
Call in pay. You get paid a minimum 4 hours. Not up to her to screw you out. She told you to go home you didn't ask to leave. You get paid for 4 hours.

Employees cannot be required to take a break because there is no available work. Refusing to take a break that you aren't required to take is not grounds for losing the pay. There may be something else at play in this instance, but it's that she's turned down any work.

After the first hour, breaks can be mandated. I’d hope no one would even attempt to require more than 30 minutes though.
