According to a WSJ report the Trump administration is now considering lifting some if not all of the import tariffs they imposed on China over the past two years claiming that they believe that it will serve as an incentive for China to come to the table and reach a new trade deal. Honest folks. You can't make this stuff up and only a dyed in the wool consercuk would believe that this is why they're backing down. China is a one party economic system , will gladly do an Adlai Stephenson and "wait until hell freezes over" before they will in any serious manner engage in new trade deal talks.
