I would like to believe that Trump was trying to defuse tensions between two countries that are officially still at war and will be back at it again someday but he has absolutely no idea when it comes to dealing with foreign heads of states . Clearly judging by the way he sucks up to Putin, the Saudi's the NK's etc, it's obvious that he can't see them as the adversary there are but rather as a potential new market for Trump Organization development. It's the only way
he sees the world. It's the only thing he knows. In fact he stated publicly how he sees NK in terms of potential development.
The American people gave him the opportunity to become the head of state conditional upon his complete separation from his business interests and until he finally does so an undeniable conflict of interest will remain and the American people will eventually cease putting up with it.
