They came out and championed this doomed to fail photo op/phony meeting, and its importance, but won't criticize trump for its failure nor will they lament that it failed. In fact, they'll never mention N. Korean peace again because they never cared about it as a policy. This is why policy debates with conservatives are a waste because they don't care about policy. It is all pretend.

Korea were important policies that they care about, but now that its utterly failed. Trump won't face any criticism for that failure. There won't be handwringing by conservatives of how trump lied and pretended N. Korea had agreed to de nuclearize when they hadn't. In fact, There won't be another mention of N. Korean denuclearization or peace because it was never an actual policy that matters to conservatives. It is all pretend. That's my point.

It's about slowly gaining trust. In Singapore (the last summit) according to the local 'busboys' the N.Koreans didn't eat any of the food. They thought they would be poisoned. The Americans cleaned their plates.
