Unemployment

If a part time package handler with 18 years on the job gets fired for non-attendance, can they get unemployment benefits?
Depends on the state but most likely if you are fired and file for unemployment your previous employer will fight the case. I'm guessing with UPS they have people on staff just for this reason, as a rise on their unemployment tax will cost them millions.

...I'm sick of this job, 18 sucky years of this crapola in the hub, need the summer off with pay, can I get myself fired and collect unemployment?
