UPS and Aetna denied my PTSD claim 5 times , saying they dont cover if caused by combat, it wasn't

So, for the record, UPS stated in a letter to me DURING one of the appeals that, it was the government that screwed me up, so the financial obligation to support my disability falls on them. I'm paraphrasing but that's the gist. So many letters... I keep everything though. Now, again, zero doctors at Aetna looked at my case, I have that from Aetna, in letter form. :) My old doctors and now new VA doctors state the ptsd is clearly from "massive childhood trauma" go look at ANY record of mine, it's all there. Nope, declined, you were in combat 25 years ago so denied. So, VA is saying its my childhood, UPS says its the GOVERNMENT. All while the veteran can barely feed himself, and you take his money and health care while he's suicidal.

Perhaps this was answered earlier and I just failed to notice it but, why haven't you tried to go for SSI / Disability rather than trying to pursue a claim through a private employer?

I was thinking the same thing, and indirectly suggested he look into it. If you think about it, UPS didn't have anything to do with the situation. They should, however, at least offer him his job back, or a similar one, once things get back to normal.

I hope you can get some SS disability going. You can worry about the company and Aetna when life becomes manageable again. Until then, one step at a time.
I have had the intellect of about a 12 year old since April 23rd 2017, my brsin has been working again recently. Complex thought is difficult when it takes 100% energy to just focus, and you still keep failing, and sweating and in my case, nothing gets done.. And honestly, nobody has suggested ask to me until now . Yes, that makes sense. I'll look into that tomorrow, thnx.

I just got home from my first trip to bank, to discuss finances, I haven't done much adulting lately, but, I lived... I feel clearer almost every day now. I'd say I'm at 75% brain maybe.. But, I'm not the same guy anymore. Wendy says maybe I'm turning into the person I was never allowed to be. She's looking forward to meeting the new Ed, whenever this is over, if it ever is over.. lol

Oh and I'm a Specialist , do you HAVE to lump me in with managers? Move my post if needed though :) in any case, ADA lawyer consult in 2 weeks, after first interview, I was asked if my # could receive sms, and other attorneys will be contacting me to interview me before that. One small update, a friend of mine, who was an awesome mid manager, had his wife die suddenly few years back she was his rock/life. Severe suicidal ptsd, admitted to mental healthcare, on suicide lockdown..(God how similar our paths are, once our brains melted... There IS a system in place for people "breaking" like this, it worked for years until aetna killed it, and they denied claim, without any doctor ever examining me or my claim, they admitted as much already)

He tried coming back, shell of a guy, but within a month he poofed, no word, he just, poofed. Well, he contacted me 2 weeks ago(he saw my Twitter I think) and told me how Aetna and UPS yes ups got rid of him, and that's the last I'll speak of it here. Not sure I'll be allowed to post again anyways, yay lawyers...

If anyone knows someone they think was wrongfully terminated, look me up on Twitter, id love to talk to you :) peace to all.. EW
