UPS pilot layoffs will include some in Anchorage - Anchorage Daily News
United Parcel Service is laying off some of its pilots in Anchorage, the company said Tuesday.
However, because the city is a major refueling stop for international cargo flights, the package delivery giant said Tuesday it will transfer more senior pilots to Anchorage to fill the vacancies left by the less-senior pilots who are losing their jobs.
In all, the company has about 400 pilots in the Anchorage area.
