I think you should be able to take your bid vacation picks. You earned them. Probably paid at 20 hours of PT pay

I don't know how someone could full time without knowing you lose vacation for a year. In my building they made a combo throw away plane tickets much less a driver. Although I believe his family still went on the trip.

So im on my 4th day of my 30 day training for driving.

I still got 3 weeks of vacation from when i was in the preload. Am i still able to take that vacation if i qualify as a driver after my 30.

I already have booked flights.

Your supplemental language, is going to define the situation.

Qualified last week monday. Going on vacation tommorow. All i did was talk to my boss and said it was okay.

I would call them an hour before just to make sure they didn’t get a case of ‘amnesia’ . If you had a witness that would work also ( I think).

My center manager looked me straight in the eye and asked "do you want to be a driver, or do you want to take a vacation?" If there was any time in my career that I needed a vacation, it would be the first year driving. This is one of those policies that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Which is BS if you came from the pt ranks...if you are an outside hire I understand the year wait.

Got very lucky. Problem is I gotta drive for 35+ years to keep my insurance in retirement.
