Have the same thing here but a bit different. All the cut routes are bid each week. So the high Utilty drivers, 7 years plus, have their pick of those, usually the same neighborhoods with no metro.We have a couple guys who have quite a bit of seniority who have stayed as a cover driver. They’ve settled in covering routes for old-timers who have up to 7 weeks vacation each so they pretty much do three or four routes all year.
Problem is the last few months none of those routes have been in so they bid the vacation routes and the 22.4's get the scraps
