Where can I find job responsibilities for a role?

I have been asked if I was interested in being an Automated Sort Specialist, I’m very interested in the pay bump but I don’t know what will be required of me.
HR at my location wasn’t very helpful because our sort has never had one apparently.
I just want to make sure that I won’t be weaseled into more work than I’m getting paid for because the role isn’t being defined to me.

Does your building already have this position? If so, why not make your way down there and watch them do their jobs? You could then wait for their break and ask them about the particulars of the job and whether they enjoy what they are doing or not.

If their shift is outside of yours ask your PT sup if it would be OK if you came back to the building when they are working.

Im not sure if they have one on another sort,
I’ll have to ask around with their manager and see

I would think losing 10 minutes would be worth figuring out what is involved in the new job that I am bidding on.

Then again he could always try it for 4 days and then go back to his old job.
