Who is responsible?

Anyone can file a civil suit against anyone for damn near anything.
Getting a judgment is another thing.
No jury would hold the car owner responsible under the facts presented.
Reactions from comments offered here as to the owners responsibility prove my point.

Attorneys name any possible party that may be held at fault, always seeking the deep pockets first and going from there.

The employee at 19 years of age may wear pants but its doubtful they have pockets.

The attorney also said the dealership cannot be sued because of a legal standard preventing an employee from suing their boss for negligence, which, in this case, would be the hiring of someone who should not have been driving.

This (negligence) tells me the attorney is seeking a higher damage award as also noted by the 15 million in damages he is hoping is awarded.

Civil suits are supposed to make the damaged whole, good luck Mr. Femminineo, I ain't buying, most likely the jury or judge won't as well
