Anyone been through the process that can tell me how it goes or what the timeline is like? I need surgery and want to get it over with so I can get back to my life.

If you had a work comp attorney, I bet he could answer your questions and expedite the process better than anyone on this forum.

Hope this helps.

The timeline is how long it takes for you to fully recover (or are able to perform all your UPS duties without any restrictions).

This is usually how it goes:
TAW
Leave to heal (after TAW runs out)
Can't get better? - surgery
post surgery healing
therapy
reconditioning
back to work

See if your State comp laws provide for a Q.R.C.
(Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant) to help you through the process.

Here you get to choose your own...if you don't chose, UPS chooses one for you...You don't want that. You have a short time period to choose one.

Ask other drivers who they used for a QRC, and try to get one familiar with UPS employees. Make sure it is not the one UPS favors. The QRC is supposed to be neutral, but in reality some are more employee friendly than others.
