One model they are using to guide policy decisions only recommends in-home isolation for confirmed cases (non-hospitalized), and quarantine for their households. It is recommended for the general population only to minimize contact outside of the home by 75%, which is what the 6 foot rule is meant to do. The entire point is to prevent an unmanageable surge in burden on healthcare resources. Quarantine is for people who are sick or are known to have been exposed to someone who is, it is not meant for the whole population!

The fact that this "stay home stay safe" idea got started, spread and has been accepted as absolute truth so quickly is one of the scariest things about this situation. If enough people believe an idea, regardless of how wrong it is, that idea begins to carry the weight of enforceability. This shows that people can literally be imprisoned by lies.

The reason this phenomena occurs is through the appeal to the masses fallacy. People assume that if an idea has been accepted by so many others, that someone, or many someones, have challenged the idea, and it has withstood those challenges. That makes them feel comfortable not challenging it themselves.

With the technology we have today, and how quickly ideas can spread, it is more important than ever for contrarians to challenge the thinking of the mob.
I challenge your view! :salute:
