UPS driver charged after nearly hitting children getting off McCordsville school bus – WTHR

A UPS driver caught on camera passing a school bus in McCordsville as it was letting children off is now charged with a crime.

William Bullock is accused of passing a school bus when the arm signal was extended. A warrant is out for his arrest and bond has been set at $600.

On Sept. 9, three of Kelley Beal’s children were getting off the bus outside her home when she saw the UPS truck approaching. Beal told 13News, the Mt. Vernon school bus had the lights flashing and the stop arm out.

“I just knew he was not going to stop,” Beal said.

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist begins delivering COVID-19 vaccines via drone with UPS Flight Forward – Triad Business Journal

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and its healthtech business enterprise operated through the Innovation Quarter, iQ Healthtech Labs, are taking COVID-19 vaccination efforts to new heights with drone deliveries – the first COVID-19 vaccine drone delivery program in the country.

This new initiative – operated by UPS and its subsidiary, UPS Flight Forward– expands Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s existing drone program that was launched in July 2020.

When transporting the COVID-19 vaccines, the Matternet M2 drone is outfitted with a special cargo box that contains Cold Chain Technologies’ customized PCM Gel solution, a temperature-sensitive packaging mixture that maintains the COVID-19 vaccine at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, and a temperature monitoring device that monitors the vaccine’s temperature while in transit. The customized cold chain packaging follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines on the handling, storage and transportation of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Central Texas UPS driver’s family believes his untimely death was heat-related – KWTX

23-year-old Jose Cruz had worked for UPS for just three weeks when he died on the job​

The untimely death of a young UPS driver in Waco has sparked multiple investigations, and now his family is speaking out, saying they believe his death was heat-related.

“My son was very caring, very responsible, loveable. a hard worker, he was very mature for his age,” said Jorja Rodriguez. “He was the best son in the world to me.”

Jose Cruz, 23, was found dead around 2 a.m. Aug. 12 in the parking lot of his work, the UPS Facility at 5700 Franklin Ave.

His mother, Jorja Rodriguez, said she knew something wasn’t right when he didn’t respond to her messages that night and morning.

UPS driver from Bridgewater rescues 8 from Ida floodwaters on Route 22 – My Central Jersey

He’s the “class clown” who thought he was just “being a good human.”

UPS driver Nick Dirla delivered something more valuable than packages during the Sept. 1 flood.

He delivered eight people to safety after they became trapped in the rapidly rising flash flood waters on Route 22.

Just four months on the job, the 22-year-old Bridgewater resident found himself on westbound Route 22 at the end of his shift when the torrent from the remnants of Hurricane Ida was at its most intense.
