22.3 advice

What's in the box!!!!!?
Well lets say employee A. Has 5 years seniority and employee B. Has 2. Say employee A. Just does enough work to please mgmt and always is causing them a issue with complaining and or going to union. Employee B. Doesn't complain ,puts in extra effert and does dubs to help out more. There's a good chance employee B will get it.

Yeah we can't do that. There would be a grievance filed so fast it would make the FT's head spin.

The amount of misinformation and disinformation in this thread baffles me.

Bid jobs are awarded by seniority only.

22.3 jobs have a much lower pay rate than FT driver position (at top rate).

Would 22.3 be considered "all others" when looking at contract wage schedule for different positions? Just looked at contract here. There is no wage for 22.3, but there is an all others. If so its 3 bucks and change between FT package. $2.84 an hour to be exact

The only way that would happen is if employee A is so ignorant he doesn't notice that the bid he signed was filled by a lesser seniority person. Even then, it wouldn't be like those are the only two folks that signed it. Someone in there would notice that a lower seniority person got it and file a grievance with a quickness. Management would have to be real gutsy and stupid to try to get away with something like that.

Either that or employee A didn't meet the qualification of the bid.
