Trick, how many younger enlisted folks did you serve with who had to sign up for some sort of financial help from the government?

I was in a foreign country while on active duty.
I don't recall seeing any welfare offices.

I served two stateside tours and was shocked at how many E-1's and E-2's were on some form of welfare, usually food stamps.

I bet most of your ways don't involve getting shot at, blown to pieces, limbs blown off, TBI's, death by defoliants and other chemicals years after the fact, PTSD and suicide.
