I'm a loader, I've worked here for 7 months without ever calling out except for a time when it snowed 2 feet and no one showed up anyway. I know it's gonna be busy today since we weren't there yesterday but I really feel sick. I know it's apparently forbidden to call off during peak, but would I be able to call off sick today? Would they give me much of a problem since I never called out before?

Not during summer peak..it's cut 30 stops out of this, that, him, and that guy and find an empty truck...instant split route. Rinse and repeat until Labor day.

My center (3 centers in my building) runs 20 extra routes in the summer to handle summer peak volume. Our volume is heavier now than Xmas peak.

My on car texted me and then followed up with a phone call to see if I wanted to work today. I guess they got slammed. My son is home for the week and we have plans so I told him I would see him on Monday.
