I think that campaign reform is needed on all levels. The highest level being pres. of the U.S.
How about not starting campaigning & fund raising until one year before election day? That would make a more level playing field for all candidates. That way, like the current pres., he could concentrate on the nation's business instead of fund raising and hand shaking and ignoring the nation.
Maybe lesser posts could limit campaigning to 6 months before election day.
I think this would eliminate all the 'crap' ads we see on TV. No time for them. The candidate's time would be limited and the things they say better define themselves to the voter instead of tearing down opponents.
