Do the days that you get sent home count towards your union day?

Because it appears that mine did. I got sent home a lot of times before I had made the union, and still made the union the day that I was supposed to make the union if I hadn't been sent home. But this guy at my hub who started UPS a week after me sent home days aren't being counted towards his union day. By the way. I'm in local 804 (nyc), which takes 40 working days to join.

If you worked, the day counts. If not, no.

When I was an inside employee it was just a month, not working days. I guess it has changed or varies by area.

Yeah, if you're paid for even a minute then that day counts. If the other person was stopped before they clocked in or told not to come in the next day then those days won't count.
