First car was a 1977 Ford F150 pickup with a 3-in-the-tree manual transmission on the column, but by that point I already knew how to drive a manual from farm trucks, tractors, motorcycles, etc.

I tried to learn how to drive in a Ford Econoline van that had 3 on the column.

Cool.

When I worked for a local but nationally known non-profit, I had "my own" 1964 Econoline (donated by an international telecom company) with the big six and four on the tree.

I could smoke the tires through third in that b*tch!
