(CBS) — An 80-year-old retired preacher was fatally shot early Monday, and neighbors say the suspect who killed him is also a retired preacher.
Chicago police say they have a person in custody in connection with the death, which occurred at the Senior Suites of Rainbow Beach in the South Shore neighborhood early Monday.
Police say the 80-year-old victim was shot in the face and died. Investigators said the suspect, who uses a motorized wheelchair, fired one shot, then moved closer and fired several more.

Meanwhile Hillary Clinton spoke at Temple University the same day in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was reportedly attended by less than 200 people. At the event targeted to millennial voters she acknowledged a need to court the youth vote, according to local NBC10 News. Clinton’s campaign launched “Pennsylvania Millennials for Hillary” aimed at showing support for boosting youth economic opportunities and dealing with college debt.
By way of further comparison, Hillary Clinton held a rally at the University of South Florida on September 6 that drew a 1,500 person crowd, according to the Tampa Bay Times, while a September 9 rally for Trump in Pensacola drew 12,000, according to WTSP10 News.

Gov. Charlie Crist (D) an uncomfortable reminder of what many Americans think of the Hillary Clinton — namely, that to call Democratic nominee for president “honest” is laughable.
Crist, who is challenging Rep. David Jolly (R-Fla.) for Florida’s 13th Congressional District seat, debated the incumbent Monday night. During the debate, Crist elicited laughter when he praised Clinton and specifically called her “honest.”

Debate moderator Lester Holt does not have the authority to cut away from the stage during the epic 90-minute showdown. And microphone audio for either of the candidates is not to be manipulated.
The presidential debate commission settled an early flashpoint when Clinton demanded a step-stool at the podium to add height to her 5'4" frame. Campaign Chairman John Podesta expressed concern that Hillary would be dwarfed by 6'2" Trump. The request was quickly rejected. The commission is allowing for a custom-made podium, which will accommodate the difference in stature.
