Gas Prices

Just heard tonight they are taking some of the sulfur out of the blend and it is expected to go up a dime. Usually when you take stuff out it doesn't cost as much.

And by the way, I claimed $5, $6 or $7 dollars a gallon. Not $6.90.
At least you could get it right, I mean all you have to be able to do to get it right is to read.
You claimed a 10 cent gas tax increase would result in 5-7 dollar gas.

Ok then..... where are you paying 4.90 a gallon? Math isn't your thing man.

Enjoy these gas prices now because in about 10 years, these prices may seem what those $1 per gallon prices now feel like from the late 90's.

Don't look now but a "reality check" could well hit just ahead signaling that "The Party's Over!"

Exactly when do you think that the government would put such a tax ($.10) in place. The way the government moves, in about a year or two would be normal. By then the price of gas under Obama will be above $5 per gallon.
Does the genius need anything else explained to him?

Limited gov't has about the same success rate as a vampire going to rehab to stop drinking blood.

Funny how vampires and gov't do the same thing to the common folk across the country side. Metaphor?

Ya, blame Obama to avoid discussing the real problems. Do you even realize how many politicians from both sides you let off the hook with that line of thinking?

If he would approve the Keystone XL pipeline and approve more drilling in Alaska, the price of gas will actually go down. But he fights the oil companies at every turn. So the price of gas/oil will continue to go up as long as Obama is prez.

That's is because every politician wants more power once elected. More power means having to grow government. Bigger government means less money and freedoms for the people.

Can I borrow your crystal ball I have some bets to place.

If you think Obama gives two craps about the environment you are hopeless. He is playing the same political games Repubs and Dems always play.

If I had to wager on it, I'd say Obama is gonna approve the pipeline..... we'll know in the next few months.

Before you get all gitty about the Keystone pipeline and US energy independence, you might look at who is really the big player in control of those Canadian Tar Sands. Nexen, who was one of the key players but as of about 4 months ago were wholly bought out by the Chinese and they, the Chinese, have plans of increasing their stack in control of those tar sands. See here for the Nexen story.
Chinese also have controlled the McKay River Tar Sands since 2012'.

Not to mention that out own gov't granted TransCanada, a foreign corporation, the right of eminent domain in taking land from Americans to build a Canadian pipeline (Keystone XL) to transport what will be Chinese oil. Do your due diligence before you jump off the cliff on this one. You might not like the "tree huggers" reasons but in opposing the pipeline, they are correct IMO. We are being lied too as if that should come as surprise.

The U.S. does not exist in a vacuum. If China's demand for oil continues to increase faster that the current ability to supply that demand, oil prices go up. Which is guaranteed to happen under Obama.
