i was pretty impressed that you have to go back to 1934 to witness a president that didnt lose a senator in the mid terms. Talk all the smack you want but the democrats scored huge this year
Losing the House and Stacy Abram's even bigger repeat loss to Gov. Brian Kemp is scoring huge? I don't understand your logic.

Historically the sitting president's party loses bigly in the mid terms. Many seats are lost and the opposing party seizes power. Howeve in the 2022 midterms The house is now narrowly controlled by the Republicans by a handful of seats. Trumpism is imploding the party and it will be interesting to see how badly the infighting cripples the Republican's ability to band together.

The Senate was expected to turn overwhelmingly Red, ( remember Ted Cruz talking of a Red Tsunami?) and yet the Republicans actually lost badly and the Democrats take full control

As far as the Georgia Gubernatorial Race it has no bearing on the midterms. Abrams is a terrible candidate and I cant believe thats the best the Dems could do.

I actually voted for both Kemp and Raffensberger as i feel while i dont agree with all of their policies they had the BALLS to tell Trump to pound sand when he tried to get them to throw the election .Unlike 99.999999999% of the other Republicans they didnt cave to Orange Jesus. I admire guts, that got my vote.
Alot of us voted Split Ticket .
The town you live in is FIRMLY Red,yet there is high crime, high drug use, high incarceration rates,High property taxes, low paying jobs,a very high percentage of people seeking public assistance ( you have seen the many posts about Kemp cards on the local community pages) very low graduation rate .I dont see how being in such a Red county is beneficial

It was the House of Representatives that was predicted to go big for Republicans this year, not the Senate. Every seat in the House is up for re-election every two years. Approximately a third of Senate seats are up every two years. Of those most are in either heavily red or blue states. So only a handful were in play to be flipped. The most optimistic projections were at best a 55-45 Republican Senate. Not an overwhelmingly Red Senate. No Super Majority that's filibuster proof.

It never ceases to amaze me how some Democrats characterize things. You describe a bleak situation in a red county and don't see how being in that county is beneficial. That also describes blue counties. Instead of inferring might as well vote blue because Republicans aren't doing anything for you in that red county you should be pointing out that those dire situations need to be addressed in all suffering counties and improve peoples lives. Solid jobs are what's needed, not hand outs. Not despair over never ending bleakness.

What makes “mainstream” republicans think they have a party anymore? They’ve pretty much allowed themselves to be tied to th orange man. It’s his party now.
At some point Trump, Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, they all age out. The parties are bigger than who's at the top.

Not really. The Republican Party isn’t what it was under Lincoln nor is it the one that elected Ronald Reagan.

Democrats today don’t resemble Jefferson Davis and I’m almost certain Jimmy Carter is disgusted with who the Democrats have become.

Aren't you making my point that the parties are bigger than who's at the top? By the way I've seen Lincoln's economic policies. Very today's Republican. And it was Republicans at the forefront of the Civil Rights movement. Not all that much has changed.

You’re making my point. As much as you want to paint democrats as socialists, the US isn’t even close. Even things like Obamacare are market based attempts to solve lingering problems.

And I don’t know for certain, but I don’t think the Biden had dinner with Nick Fuentes lately.

So if Warnock is a communist (like is claimed) when does he seize UPS and let the government run it?
