3 major banks have issued warnings for a global recession. usa is overdue for a recession. there have been 12 recessions since the great depression. capitalism is unstable.

What's the difference between the socialism & liberation party and the socialist workers party?

i was listening to steve keen a good economist who predicted the financial crisis and he said something about people accepting generally held beliefs even if they are wrong. the example he used was about how the planets rotated around the earth and everyone believed that to be true back then. he was applying it as a way economics is being taught / understood.

i would tie it into capitalism.

My personal income has increased exponentially since 1967. Of course, I was only 6 and my only income was a $5/week allowance.
i should have said adjusted for inflation. anyways ive never heard that before, ive only ever heard that the real wages havent risen since 73.

i david cay's quote is a better indicator of the economy than the real wages one, although theres probably not graphs for david cays unlike the real wage.

Born with a silver spoon.
My family gave no allowances.
You wanted cash, you got a job .
god i dont think i got an allowance at all either. my granny used to give my bro and me a dollar or 2. i remember we did a paper route in grade 8 or 9 and we got $10 or $20 every 2 weeks each, but then my dad told us we had to save most of it lol.

the almighty ricky bobby just got offered fly in fly out camp with a $8/hr more than what im currently making up to $12 more down the road

1950s: US corps paid 1/3 of fed govt income tax revenue. Now it’s 1/9. Tax burden shifted to persons/us:

you can isolate one group and twist it anyway you want it. corporations paid 90 percent of their income back then which is extreme.

here is a more recent and inclusive study of tax's paid , the top 1 percent earn 19 percent of all payroll but paid 38 percent of all taxes.

Summary of the Latest Federal Income Tax Data, 2015 Update

this then leads to my next question , why would a Canadian care what happens in the US?
