Kind of a duel subject.
A fellow driver(top hand) conveyed another driver received a warning letter for running a stop sign. Did it right in front of an ORS. Perp was dismissive all the way through. Top hand: "That's a stupid place for a stop sign anyway..." Where does this attitude come from? The Company refuses to paint stop stripes to highlight these stop signs. They refuse. Why? Not in the MOP. Master Operating Plan. Not there....ain't gonna happen.
We have many overhead vehicle doors. No pedestrian traffic. Contractors are not instructed on yard rules.....they walk through them all the time. We have car wash folks run the stop signs on both sides of the doors....all day/night. We have hub pedestrians walk across these doorways expecting all to stop. See? Matter of time.
Stealing time. We are instructed to take a full hour meal. Latest termination: 30 min. meal and lot's of unscheduled paid breaks. Why? Taking 30 min. puts you on the radar....this guy is a multi decade employee. Why do we do this?
