If you want to call Michelle you would have to reach her in New York because she went with 5 or 6 girlfriends to see a play last night!

I figured I'd just google the phone # for Air Force One as everything else is on the internet so....!

:happy-very:

I just had a thought, if I did google that number, then actually find it, should I call and ask is her refrigerator running?

 Ah the good ole fun days of rotary dial before caller ID!:wink2:

Maybe I should google your phone # and then in my best illegal mexican/alien voice, call and demand to speak to Jose on a steek!
:winks:

Come on More. Tell me I'm incorrigible as you know I love it when you talk at me that way.
:please:

Boarding an aircraft is a privelege, not a right. Those who do not wish to be profiled or searched are free to rent a car or take a train or ship.

Exactly. And that will lose the airlines money. If enough people decide enough with the foolish security procedures, the airlines will back off.

Security is one thing, going out of business is another.

Just call her and ask if she has Prince Albert in a can...

I thought about that but was afraid the "prince" term being so close to messiah and then she'd hand the phone to the President and then I'd have to talk to him. Just doesn't seem that much fun if that happened!
:wink2:

Strength through joy
(NY Times) — “… As he left Washington on Friday, Mr. Boehner headed across the Potomac River to Ronald Reagan National Airport, which was bustling with afternoon travelers. There was no waiting for Mr. Boehner, who was escorted around the identification-checking agents, the metal detectors and the body scanners, and whisked directly to the gate.
The Republican leader, who will become the second person in line to assume the presidency after the new Congress convenes in January, took great pride after the midterm elections in declaring his man-of-the-people plans to travel home as other Americans do. In a time of economic difficulty, it was a not-so-subtle dig at Ms. Pelosi, who has access to a military jet large enough to avoid refueling for her flights home to San Francisco.
But he is not giving up all the perquisites of power.
Mr. Boehner, who was wearing a casual yellow sweater and tan slacks, carried his own bag and smiled pleasantly at passengers who were leaving the security checkpoint inside the airport terminal on Friday. Among the travelers not invited to bypass the security line was Representative Allen Boyd, Democrat of Florida, who lost his re-election bid two weeks ago.
Only Congressional leaders or members of Congress with armed security details are allowed to go around security. The same privilege is afforded to governors and cabinet members if they are escorted by agents or law enforcement officers.
Michael Steel, a spokesman for Mr. Boehner, said the Republican leader had neither requested nor received special treatment at the airport security line.
“The appropriate security procedures for all Congressional leaders, including Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid, are determined by the Capitol Police working with the Transportation Security Administration,” Mr. Steel said in a statement,

Self imposed Lords and Nobleman getting the special treatment while the rest of us must toil in the fields!

I just love that scene!

Get beyond the humor and it's sadly fairly true!

Thanks More. I guess we don't have it down our way either as I've never seen it. Now I understand why I didn't understand Over's humor. Would have been good otherwise. Sorry Over, blame the stores!

Lol, sorry - local thing I guess!

Pat Down or Pre-Custodial Search?

Posted by Kathryn Muratore on November 21, 2010 03:48 PM
Writes Allen Nightingale (I’ve added some links):
I am a retired law enforcement officer who has “patted down” scores of individuals. “Pat downs” are conducted on individuals an investigating officer has reason to believe pose an immediate potential threat. The procedures currently utilized by TSA thugs are in fact pre-custodial searches of suspects under arrest. This is how euphemisms become embedded in the lexicon of a society well down the road to tyranny.

Interesting perspective!
