We moved on, from the 70's ??

And now....

The same type of members use social media, and try to shame members....

with the only benefit, to themselves.

Thats the real goal.

They won't make any personal sacrifices.... other than to whine on the internet.

Thats how they were raised, and all they know.

Pfft.

Sounds like you are an old guy who is frustrated with these "young whippersnappers"?? That is your excuse for not being able to organize members?? LOL, now that is lame and lazy. No wonder the 16 yr Hoffa Experiment has been a failure. Old Guard ("Old" because they ARE old and "guard" because all they want to do is guard their OWN perks and positions) cant keep up with the modern world. They blame the failure on "thats how they were raised" instead of maybe hiring some young organizers who can relate better to this newer generation. Hopefully a new administration will do what needs to be done.

That's it?
Really?
Lame excuses of why we can't or haven't.

"The kids these days", "TDU TDU TDU", "that damned social media".

Hardly an endorsement for maintaining he status quo.

If you run fast, really fast you may be able to catch the "Million Man March". Oh its 9:55pm Wednesday
Looks like the "Edit War" is on?
Someone can threaten other posters on here and get away with it but if you use someone's initials you get edited.
No doubt that it just depends on who you are and how much you cry on here.

This election (& other local ones) are probably the last chance for members to take control of their futures.

People better vote.
It's show time.

You obviously have no experience in organizing.

Do you really think, people are standing around just waiting for the Teamsters to show up ?

And if they do, "we will just all sign cards".... with little resistance from the employer.

If you think that, you're living in a fantasy world.

Do you even have the slightest idea.... of how much money it costs, to run

an organizing campaign ? Who do you think pays for that ?

And that is (if) it is successful.

Or, if the Local will ever offset the expense by the collection of dues.

And then, there is the cost (to the Local) of negotiating a contract.

Instead of whining about it.... get involved.

The IBT and Joint Councils offer training seminars. And then needs volunteers.

How about you ?

Hopefully a new administration will do what needs to be done.

Hopefully ??

Such an air of self confidence.

Bug bring some facts. All you do is talk. Educate us about your organizing efforts. From what I read in the teamster magazine it looks like you are not doing good

Starting wage is a waste of time.

All he does is talk? Your on auto post. You make a statement and add "FACT" at the end. This doesn't make it a fact.

You obviously have no experience in organizing.
You obviously refuse to tell us what your experience is, while chastising an anonymous poster about your unfounded perception of their lack of experience.
Do you really think, people are standing around just waiting for the Teamsters to show up ?
No, they have given up and are suffering.
They have lost hope that anybody will help them.
This is our way in.

So, should we never attempt to organize another company, because it's cost prohibited?

Horrible!! If everyone is happy as you say you should have over 1 million signatures. Also those who boast and brag are always telling half truths.
By your logic, Tim won't have a shot in hell. 50k is his goal!
Oh btw, I recant my last post. Hoffa doesn't have 130,000 signatures.

No he wasn't.

He was a dues paying member for about 1 year.

Prior to that.... he was an attendant at a gas station.

A copy of his job "resume" has been posted and viewed multiple times.

The smearing never ends. Fact: Paff was a Teamster,a dues paying teamster, from 1973-1979 when he went to work full time for TDU. I believe he worked at Preston Trucking. "Prior to that", he was a teacher, worked as a supporter of Cesar Chavez and was a Physics Major in college. So, maybe it was YOU who pumped his gas!! Is that what BUG stands for: Brotherhood of Unleaded Gaspumpers??
