About the early call in....Did you go in? Are you on call?

I think he might a power pad message changing the start time.

For the first time in 2 weeks the freight was on time today, amazing. And we actually weren't as heavy as we have been but I'm thinking Wednesday is like a lull day and we will be slammed Thursday and friday

2014 Peak not enough trailers to get to major bulk pickup customers.
2015 Peak enough trailers, not enough RTD's to get to major bulk pickup customers.
Watching my manager sweat bullets as we run 22 skids of freight thru the PM sort and blow out every AMJ can and shuttle, then cause a plane delay. High five people.

That's because so many RTDs have left to make more money for companies that actually understand there is a shortage of CDL-A drivers. We will figure this out by the year 2020.

I was up early enough to make it to the station 30 minutes early, so yeah. Although I would not have been marked as late if I showed up at my scheduled start time. Our station does a "snow phone" and that's when he told us (this morning) to come in early, no PPAD message from the day before.

They did ask us today to come in 30 min early again tomorrow. I was amazed at the on-time freight.

Anyone else have their CSRs promising customers scheduled reattempts? 4 of the past 5 days I have gotten a DEX 08 from the day before with a note written on it saying customer wants delivery after x time. When did Express become HD?

Luckily for 3 people, I have been able to accommodate them but one person, who wanted to be the last stop of the day, on the total opposite side of town was SOL.

Why don't the CSRs tell people to just sign the damn door knocker I left the day before?

I got to a stop at 1400 or so yesterday, and the guy says he was told I would be there between 1130 ands 1330. Asked who told him, he said 800-Go FedEx!

~180 stops every day the past two weeks (except one 220 day). I guess our center hired on a ton of drivers to help with the load. Would love the extra hours...but I'm enjoying the easy days.

The problem is they don't want to project to high and have Lower volume.

So they projected a safe number and then we get blown out and they act like its a surprise

It's a surprise when large shippers give us one number and actually ship a larger number.

"You have an extra hour" regardless after 10:30 they get it for free so that's purely for bull:censored2: numbers

The transit delay stat allows them the ability to distinguish those lates that can be attributed to late freight from those that can't. In theory, it keeps couriers from being punished from controllable service failures. In reality, they aren't punished for them at all.

Once again I'm sure you can be punished for straight lining when told not too.

Like today we ran 2 sorts I called my manager and he said you have an extra hour and 44 minutes yet I talked to someone else later today and he said he was told an hour and 20 minutes. So who was right lol

Can be doesn't mean you will be.

Go by what your manager told you.
