Question about Meal

I was told if you work less than 8 hours you do not have to take a meal, which I have done on a few occasions, however, tonight I got back to the hub right at my 8th hour. I logged off of the IVIS 3 minutes before my 8th hour, but clocked out 1 minute after my eighth hour. Could I possibly get in trouble for this? It doesn't seem like I would being that I was out of the truck before my 8th hour. But I wasn't completely sure.

I did the same thing the other day but didn't go past 100 miles as the crow flies so I'm not worried.


I did notice on a seasonal's training ride along this week that they went well over the 100 miles, did not take their 30 minutes, and still had him working in the yard after 8 hours. I would assume that would be illegal even though he was back in the yard? AND THAT WAS WITH A SUPERVISOR AND ON HIS 4TH DAY. UGH.
