Don't think stealing a TV is a necessity. Where is all the activists yelling not to destroy the city?

Meanwhile elsewhere in Buffalo;

The mother of a 22-year-old woman who died after becoming trapped in her car in blizzard-wrought Buffalo has revealed it took a random passerby to transport her daughter's corpse to a coroner after officials were unable to make it to the scene.
The search for Andell was sparked after she sent her family a final video from inside her car, a day before she was discovered dead from what her mother said was carbon monoxide poisoning, rather than hypothermia.

What time did authorities start telling people to stay home? She left work Friday night. The state of emergency was in place before that.

If you are in Buffalo, you keep the winter supplies to stay alive for a day or two in the car at all times from October to May or so.

At -20 or worse.

You can save your own life with 50 bucks and thinking ahead.

Can't fault the woman for working, but maybe she should have stayed at work? Like you said, supplies in the car would keep her going until the storm cleared.

Yeah, I'm trying not to make it individual. Any person in Buffalo who is not prepared for 2 days in the car at worse than 30 below and snowed in is unprepared and mildly stupid. And they should have those supplies in there for 6 months a year

Whose fault is the carbon monoxide poisoning?
Didn't know enough to keep her exhaust clear? I have relatives in Buffalo who told me that the mayor had told them several days in advance to get off the roads . He warned them that if they ignore his order and got stranded out there first responders would not be able to come for them. And even if he could legally authorize the use of deadly force to stop looters there would not likely be any authorized person there who could use it. Perhaps vendors will finally install better security and barriers to smash and grab looters .Something similar to gun shops . At closing bars come down from overhead behind doors and windows.

The problem is people have no fear from the law anymore

You can't arrest somebody cuz you might be profiling them....

The governor did activate the National Guard but people knew that their priority would be stranded travelers and truckers out on the interstates leaving downtown easy pickings for looters. Making stores more secure and protected from these losses will now have to be a priority.....And it will no doubt be expensive undertakings.
