These are responsibilities you sign up for when actually buying a house in my opinion. I do all this too, except the ice melt. I try to make sure it doesn't get to that point.I shovel every time it snows, I put down ice melt, I scrape off the ice if its warm enough, etc. I wish half the people on my route did the same. Apparently I have something to lose if someone gets hurt on my property.
No they are just worthless, and lazy.Clearing snow, and ice from sidewalks and steps is old fashioned.
Only old people make sure it's clean.
Generation X and Millennial's just walk on it, pack it into ice.
I figure they all have bad backs, can't lift a shovel full of snow.
You just jinxed it.First year I have not fallen flat on my back, yet. Getting too old to pick myself up on an icy driveway or sidewalk.

No shovel No Delivery is my motto. There is no way I'm breaking my ass to Deliver your pkg.
They give us ice cleats where I'm at. I never where then I just walk like a penguin on the ice.
How much snow did you end up getting down there?I shoveled a 2 foot wide path down my 650 ft driveway today - in fact twice.
We keep one side wheels in the shoveled area to get up and down driveway.
