Sorting during lunch

Discussion in 'UPS Discussions' started by Littlearrowdown, Apr 22, 2016.

  1. Guilty as charged, have 45 min lunch and take 15 or 20 min to set up my resi stops, ireg stops rd, and any savers I might miss. Makes my day so stress free and follow the methods 110%. The job is so easier when organized.

I try never to work off the clock but somedays my truck is soooo unorganized that I have to do the same. It makes my afternoon so much easier knowing where everything is.

It's ok as long as you have a hero/sub/grinder in one hand.

Majority of my days my lunch is mine but if my trucks a mess and it means getting home to my kids sooner than I am spending some of my lunch time organizing. Sorry.

I know but I only do it when it is absolutely necessary but I am also a mom first and getting home at a.decent hour is my first priority.

Not if he is setting the whole truck up by pal label. Than he knows exactly where every stop is when he walks into the back.

  15. 10 or 15 minutes of sorting (off the clock) makes up for the time trying to get sales leads. Wink wink

If it needs to be done, why are you doing it on your lunch break?

If I feel the need to stop and sort my truck no way im doing it on lunch, I code to preload. That really gets the sups attention.

If you were following the methods 110% you'd be sorting the truck as you deliver. Stop working off the clock. Take a nap during your hour lunch instead, the job is so easier when you're rested.
