Also, I have followed the media coverage of these protests even though I am at work right now, and I never once heard mention of this antifa group.

Not once, not by one reporter. I don't see this antifa group identified in any pictures of the protest.

Who are they? Do they identify as being left?

Are they really a violent organization? Do Democratic politicians have them in their administrations are they out their claiming to support certain candidates?

These are all things that white supremacist organizations have done for Trump, as well has having direct connections to Trump, and they claim to be on the right because their pro confederate statue protest was called unite the right and evidently a lot of republicans see them as on their side.

Is the same true for Antifa, again I am fairly informed and I know a lot of Democrats or people that vote for Democrats and no one has ever mentioned this group to me. I have never heard of it until this message board.

You have to listen to conservative media to hear anything about Antifa. To them, antifa is one of the greatest threats to society today. They are a fringe group of anarchists that incite violence whenever they can. I don't think they have a coherent organizing philosophy, they just enjoy causing chaos.

I don't mean to be glib, but I have looked this stuff up read many accounts of this thing in many different websites news organizations, this group is never mentioned and never identified. I have never heard of them.

Antifa is likely a very small, social-media organized grassroots collective that is a reaction to the larger, more organized alt-right. @Monkey Butt never suggested that all the counter-protesters were Antifa.

I have never heard of them. Again I know a lot of Democrats. I know democrats that I consider socialists and communists basically, I know people that heavily support BLM, but this antifa group is vapor.

They aren't getting mentioned on any of the reports I have read about this incident. I have never seen them identified in any photo.
