If your a 25 or 30+ year you could be late 40 times in 9 months and you wouldnt have to worry about it. That doesnt make it alright, so management needs to treat everyone WITH seniority the same, but do they? NO
Around here its sad but depends on the person... A few guys have been late more than 10 times...still no warning letter. I dont mind it, there is something called precedent, and you need to remember it.
Be careful or you might wind up with Tardycare.
yes, that is trueI believe if you report to work late you forfeit your guaranteed hours. Or they can just send you home if the sort is fully staffed.
wait, they can? So, say I oversleep, and I'm an hour late to work....technically they can send me home and let somone with less seniority cover for me, and I lose a day's pay??yes, that is true
The few times I've been late, I was never sent home. I'm sure it's happened to people, but it smells like bs to me. I could be wrong, but I don't think you lose your seniority for the day because you were late to work.Don't know if that is right or not but did happen to me once. After that I would just be a no call no show. Taught me a lesson alright. One they learned to regret.
