Talked to a retiree recently. He heard that the retiree health costs are going up and the pension for new retirees is going up. We have union healthcare through our local which isn't voted on in our contract and we are not in the UPS/IBT pension plan so as of now our pension stays the same. It's all in the details.

realbrown1 Annoy a liberal today. Hit them with facts.

Who do you think benefits from all this mis-information? The ballots are being sent in as we speak, and how many people understand fully what they are voting on? The union has done a crappy job of giving us the correct details.
Hoffa has always wanted us as teamster mushrooms. Kept in the dark and fed s#!+.

TDU? Because they are the cause of it. They post that 9.5 language has become weaker. There was not one reduction in 9.5 language. Only enhancements. This is only one example. No wonder why your group has only 4000 out of 1.4 million.

I commend you for not claiming to be unbiased.

Along with actives health care costs, that much is indisputable under any plan.

Exactly right! I was saying it from the beginning, we should never have been "browned out" from negotiations. Now.... they are able to control and manipulate the understanding of this agreement as we all scramble to sort out rumors from truths.

Our healthcare plan has a 16 million dollar surplus. There was talk of retiree health insurance coming down slightly.

That speaks more to good management of funds than costs of healthcare.

    GREAT!

Does this healthcare have co-pays and higher co-pays for Brand Name drugs?

    Good point.

This fact could qualify as misinformation.
How many people are in this plan?
$16 million might be a lot, or might not be very much at all.

The surplus is about a half a year of expenses. I could be misinformed though.

And if it's not misinformation, it's disinformation.

HMMMM, I may be guilty of that!
