Annoy a liberal today. Hit them with facts.
america has a huge market

and look at the some of the EU countries taxes. american government is just captured by corporations / ultra rich and gives into them.

if they left, youd probably have a functioning democracy for a change...not. theyd just corrupt your government globally.
Boy, you live in a basement of your parents home.

Pretty much proves that you know next to nothing.

rickyb, you keep talking about democracy. The United States is a Republic, thank God. Not sure if you know the difference.

"In a republic, a constitution or charter of rights protects certain inalienable rights that cannot be taken away by the government, even if it has been elected by a majority of voters. In a "pure democracy," the majority is not restrained in this way and can impose its will on the minority."

This means that in your democracy, if the people wanted to take up a vote to give government control over free speech, a majority vote could overturn the freedom of speech. Recent votes on college campuses actually supported the idea of curbing free speech! We are witnessing such stupidly among the millennials it's scary. Anyway, this cannot happen in the US. Free speech, as an example, is our right and cannot be infringed no matter what.

You claim to be for the little guy but pure democracy is majority rule. You're minority opinion doesn't matter

Cruz' Clinton, Trump. Sanders. It doesn't matter. Why? because the president doesn't run the country. So just who does run the country? The answer is simple. The Chairman of The Federal Reserve Board. The banks run the country and the Fed runs the banks.

well thats dandy but the corporate government just pays lip service to those ideas. the corporate governments wants what the corporate government gets. the constitution doesnt matter, its just on paper. ditto for democracy

now regarding millennials, it seems like the red scare is over for people under 50 years. the older generation got duped by that, but it seems like the younger gen is so burdened with debt and low paying capitalist jobs with diminishing prospects (not to mention an environment which is almost beyond redemption) that its open to the idea of looking into alternative economies and going beyond capitalism, and state socialism. look at what age groups bernie won with. the older groups are the most confused and voted for the corporatist hillary.

i know fakebrown1 with his clever picture is gonna be disappointed, but the country's changing. whites are gonna be a minority. you wont be able to get away with racism. the love of capitalism is going away. they might look at capitalism from a balanced perspective: its postives and the negatives, instead of being afraid of the negatives.

the derail bandit must have left his calling card...:)
When he resorts to name calling instead of addressing the topic at hand, he is derailing the conversation. Why does he feel the need to respond at all? It kind of makes him look like an idiot who's just angry that he can't articulate a counter argument.

He clearly doesn't respect the kid's right to have an opinion on the issues, so maybe he should just ignore him.

chomsky 2010:

“It is very similar to late Weimar Germany,” Chomsky told me when I called him at his office in Cambridge, Mass. “The parallels are striking. There was also tremendous disillusionment with the parliamentary system. The most striking fact about Weimar was not that the Nazis managed to destroy the Social Democrats and the Communists but that the traditional parties, the Conservative and Liberal parties, were hated and disappeared. It left a vacuum which the Nazis very cleverly and intelligently managed to take over.”

“The United States is extremely lucky that no honest, charismatic figure has arisen,” Chomsky went on. “Every charismatic figure is such an obvious crook that he destroys himself, like McCarthy or Nixon or the evangelist preachers. If somebody comes along who is charismatic and honest this country is in real trouble because of the frustration, disillusionment, the justified anger and the absence of any coherent response. What are people supposed to think if someone says ‘I have got an answer, we have an enemy’? There it was the Jews. Here it will be the illegal immigrants and the blacks. We will be told that white males are a persecuted minority. We will be told we have to defend ourselves and the honor of the nation. Military force will be exalted. People will be beaten up. This could become an overwhelming force. And if it happens it will be more dangerous than Germany. The United States is the world power. Germany was powerful but had more powerful antagonists. I don’t think all this is very far away."
