Annoy a liberal today. Hit them with facts.
Taxes for military, police, and roads is the proper use and main purpose of taxes. Those are public institutions with personal benefits to everyone who pays in. Paying for everyone's college is a whole other thing. People who didn't even get to go to college would end up paying for someone else's degree.

This idea that the rich can pay for everything is such a falacy. You could take every dollar from every millionaire and billionaire and not put a dent in your or Bernie Sander's proposals. And we'd still be adding to the $20,000,000,000,000.00 debt. Then once the rich are all broke, then what?
Most of the rich would have moved to other countries by then.

Never said I didn't want my taxes paying 1-12. Although it does suck if you're sending your kids to a private school.

Do you know why college costs have skyrocketed so much? Easy loan money, particularly federal student loans. Colleges have inflated the cost as students don't deal with the burden upfront and can just borrow whatever it costs.

The same has happened in heathcare where patients rarely even see the real bill. Costs inflated because insurance pays the cost.

In both examples, college and healthcare would be far cheaper if the market was built around what average people could actually afford.

Point is, you make college "free", college cost would would accelerate even faster. Easy federal money, more people flooding the roles...
initally you said you didnt want to pay tax on things which wouldnt benefit you personally or something like that. so somehow that include high school and elementary school, but not college.

well that would make sense what you were saying about costs rising because everyone is borrowing to pay for it. the housing market is the same.

but another problem with colleges is governments shifted the funding from themselves to the individual. so governments used to pay 80% of the costs, now they pay 50% of the costs.

now in canada, we have single payer healthcare. free choice of doctor and hospital. we pay half as much as you, and our system is higher ranked than yours. according to noam chomsky, americas healthcare system is the only privatized lightly regulated system in the world and you get mediocre results while paying almost double what the next most expensive country pays.

Seriously? So why don't we all just sit at home and get mailed a government check each week and call it a day.

We are $19 trillion in debt and growing fast. We need to ELIMINATE government programs and spending, not significantly add to it.

there are a few ways to eliminate debt, cut spending which your proposing and im not entirely opposed to, or bring in more revenue, or probably wipe off the debt.

Poor Trump, all the GOP polls had him leading by double digits and yet he almost comes in THIRD to marco Rubio..in IOWA.

His first defeat of the season shows that TRUMP isnt anything for the GOP to be afraid of. He can and will be beaten.

Unfortunately for the GOP, it was Cruz who beat him. Cruz cant win the White House either, so its a win win for the DEMOCRATS today in IOWA!

the polls never had him leading by double digits in Iowa. most had him up by 3 which is in the margin of error.
what you should worry about is poor Hillary who actually got tied by some batwing crazy socialist.

Its a lose lose for the American public with the pool of candidates running. What a bunch of misfits---both sides.

Historically Iowa has meant less for Republican candidates than Democrats. The big story is how bad Hillary performed.

Psst, Bill Clinton lost IOWA, and then went on to win the white house. Hillary is in a statistical tie for the WIN in IOWA, thats better than Bill did.

Plenty of states left.

What you should really be paying attention to, is how LITTLE effect FOX news efforts to blast Hillary is going. Two years of nonsense and she still ties for the win.

On the other hand, you have no chance at winning the white house with CRUZ, or Trump or Rubio. The best part is just starting though, now all the GOP candidates will have to TEAR EACH OTHER APART in the next week!

Its a great thing to watch, as they destroy each other.

Good luck watching your party implode.

Does anyone else find the caucus system archaic?

I can't imagine going down to our local civic center and wasting 2 hours (or more) when it would be much more convenient to go to a polling station and pull a lever.

you would have to watch a lot of fox to be able to make that statement.

I'm kind of interested to see how the vote goes when the FBI starts interviewing Hillary.

TOS, you and very Democrat is clearly racist against Hispanics. It can't possibly be a difference in policy.

Hey, that's what those on the right were told for years if they didn't support Obama's socialism. "We were against Obama for his skin color" is all we heard.

So why don't you love Cruz and Rubio?

You nailed it. Sanders I think surprised a lot of people and his poll numbers in New Hampshire were already ahead of Hillary before now so the Iowa results should give Sanders a head of steam as the focus of America shifts to the Northeast.

Bernie will enter friendly waters where Hillary has struggled uphill for some time. If Bernie comes away with a commanding victory in New Hampshire, he'll have South Carolina and Nevada a couple of weeks later and then the big day, Super Tuesday on March 1st. The next month is going to be make or break and watch for all the stops to come out.

Another key election signal that can be seen exclusively right here is when TOS jumps ship from Hillary to Sanders!
