We have all the laws necessary.....just no one with guts (except a few)to enforce the existing stuff.
Are you willing to pay double, if not more, for your produce?

If politicians really wanted to stop the influx of undocumented workers all they have to do is pass laws with stiff penalties/fines for hiring them and then ENFORCE them.
If you don't build it they won't come.
Of course neither party wants this to happen!
Without the influx of cheap labor some prices would skyrocket and some businesses would have to close. Then you would really here the public squawking.

Maybe we should make people on welfare to pick the crops?Migrant labor could be used if done right. The key is they work short term and go back.

And where do you think they go after the harvest? That's the way it works here during the apple harvest.
Yeah, they all go back where they came from and they live happily ever after right after they kiss the prince and kill the dragon!!That's the way it works here during the apple harvest.
And where do you think they go after the harvest?
If you don't want them to stay, don't hire them. Pretty simple. That's the problem, they stay.

They just move to where the work is.No, they don't.
Again, if you don't want these undocumented workers to stay, don't hire them. Why can't we have citizens do these labor intensive jobs? Some jobs, like harvesting, you need temps. Migrant workers fit the bill. Won't I don't like is companies like Disney abusing the system, importing labor to work long and cheap, and not hiring from the local population.
Sounds exactly like Mitt Romney's plan.If politicians really wanted to stop the influx of undocumented workers all they have to do is pass laws with stiff penalties/fines for hiring them and then ENFORCE them.
