trump 2016

I've read a lot of articles about Trump in major news outlets and they frame him as "anti-immigrant" or anti- immigration. Apparently they haven't listened to a single word Trump has said since announcing. It's quite sad how stuff is reported. It's like saying if you're pro 2nd ammendment you support murder.

Trump is pro immigration. He is rightly against ILLEGAL immigration just like the rest of the field. Everyone should be against illegal acts. Why is this so difficult to understand? He's married to an immigrant for God's sake.

For the record I'm not a Trump supporter but figured I'd clear this up with any ignorant people.

then they don't carry out small reforms to the system?
no like nowadays obama should have carried out reforms to the system like single payer healthcare, free college and a wiping out of hte college debt, reform the banks, get rid of the terrible corporate trade deals, stop NSA dragnet spying, to name a few.

whatever reforms are carried out are very weak. and the supposed reformers carry out corporate deals everywhere.

Ahh, free college. So...

-College professors become unpaid volunteers

-All college learning materials and equipment must be donated by willing companies

-The buildings must be built by unpaid slaves.

-Energy companies must provide free electricity and gas to the college

- and on and on....

OR, you want ME to pay for some strangers college education.

Don't you think these things through?

according to chomsky and hedges, liberals are the political centre; they carry out small reforms to the system. and even that has stopped working

Apparently DriveInDriveOut hasn't listened to a single word by Trump and doesn't know a thing about him.
None of us know what Trump is really for or against.
He'll say whatever he thinks will benefit him.

Right now one of the things he feels will get him the nomination is scapegoating immigrants for a lot of our problems. If he gets it, who knows what his stance will be in the general election. If he wins that, who knows what his administration's policies will be. Most politicians are nothing more than self serving opportunists, Trump will fit right in.

Why can't the left distinguish ILLEGAL immigration and legal immigration? This entire issue is based on the millions of people who have come and are coming into this country illegally and have no records. This is an increasingly huge problem. Republicans have no problem with immigrants. We would just like to know who the hell is here. What's wrong with that? Naturally though, the media spins the whole issue in anti immigrant racism. Sad.

Because your fiscally conservative, small government republican party wants to somehow round up 11 million people and transport them back to their country of origin.

I actually agree with some of that.

The thing with Trump is he's actually not that idealogical which explains his long list of flip flops. He is opportunistic, that's just how he is and why he's a billionaire.

I like a lot of things about him but am also concerned with many others. I think he believes too much in one man fixing everything. The real job of a US President is to get out of the American people's way and let us run the country. WE run the country not any one man.

yea, u know, Volunteerism / Charity which the right wing frequently uses as an excuse to any real solution LOLOL.

and actually since you have a problem with no tuition, im assuming your against free police, free military, free roads, etc.

in your world we would be paying a toll everytime we use it. and if you can't afford to pay the toll, you dont get it.

think its time to grow up.

no we want the rich to pay for free college for students. like a small speculation tax on wall street.

you are not rich. you are just a number to UPS.

Taxes for military, police, and roads is the proper use and main purpose of taxes. Those are public institutions with personal benefits to everyone who pays in. Paying for everyone's college is a whole other thing. People who didn't even get to go to college would end up paying for someone else's degree.

This idea that the rich can pay for everything is such a falacy. You could take every dollar from every millionaire and billionaire and not put a dent in your or Bernie Sander's proposals. And we'd still be adding to the $20,000,000,000,000.00 debt. Then once the rich are all broke, then what?

to your second paragraph: your wrong.

to your first paragraph: oh, ok, i see now, you want to pay taxes for public institutions with personal benefits to everyone who pays in...why didn't you say that in your first post LOL? and somehow getting an education doesnt add to that. so lets get rid of high school, elementary, because it does nothing for you according to your rationale.

regarding media bias: every time you watch the corporate owned media, they will talk about taxes in terms of them going up for everyone, or taxes going down for everyone. rarely do they talk about taxes in terms of who pays like just the rich, or just the corporations, or just wall street, etc.

So extreme.

If we are going to keep this economic structure, the middle class is going to have to get something back. If that means giving free college to kids to bolster the ranks of the middle class, then so be it.

Where is the line drawn? 12 grades free not enough so free college. What about masters and doctorate degrees free plus room and board for 8 years?

How much do you want to steal from the rich? When that money runs out, where will you turn then?
