I think you are making this up.
Why in the hell would I make that up? They termed it gross insubordination and fired him for it. Obviously there is more to the story but that was the straw that broke the camels back. And as far as being out of work that long, that's about average for all terminations. Our grievances average 1.5 to 2 years before being heard.

So he wasn't fired for not wearing the socks, was he?


Resident know-it-all.
He had been on their radar for some time, and it was the only thing they could catch him on. But it was indeed the socks that got him fired. They stated in a PCM that they were cracking down on appearance and handed out copies of the policy. He showed up the next day wearing black socks and they terminated him.
