Thanks for the advice. You would think that they would not take more than the max allowed by the tax law. So Hoax they only allow you to put in $13,000? Is that a UPS cap? Is your 401K much different than the Teamsters? Just curious. I hope to be able to do the the max and catch up in my 50s if I can afford it?
i'm reading directly from my IRA report.
401k max 16500
22000 for old geezers like me,...over 50
IRA max 5000
6000 for over 50
this is for 2009
you should be able to afford it if you make up your mind to. we max out everything every year. we just don't buy every toy that comes along, drive a used, used car and live below our means.
