Maybe in an extended center bonus could make some sense. Bit honestly I see it as a job eliminator. The same way they abuse Sure post.

But the union and company agreed that more sure post packages would flow into our trucks...haha haha yeah right!

I guess you can't knock the guy for making bonus....maybe he has a good time study or maybe he is running his ass off but not telling anybody..The majority of drivers know that something isn't right with the allowances on many of the routes and you would have to be stupid to think ups wouldn't lie, cheat, or steal to make a profit. In my center I know there are a few guys who have decent allowances and I know for a fact aren't running or skipping personal time. Then there are others who make bonus who are running themselves into the ground most are running and they are the ones who are the first to say "I burned that route" or "just killed it..hola" they are the same guys with a truck full of empty rockstar cans....that in itself is your first clue. But to be honest we have nobody who makes more than an hour bonus and only a few who might be under by 30 or 45...I have never seen 2 or 3 hours under or over here....whatever. I'm an hour over and still getting the crap beat out of me so over allowed drivers get beat down as much as the runners...lol

I actually wish that you were driving the B car in my loop.

I work at a reasonable pace, take all my personal time, use my 8 hr requests, participate in the 9.5 list and enjoy a good balance of everything you think you have.
In the end I will likely walk better, stand straighter and enjoy a better quality of life in retirement than you and the rest of the hedgehoppers who think they are freaks of nature and smarter than the majority.

To be honest there are guys that are over allowed that get beat to sh!+ everyday doesn't have to be just the runners..

...and coming in early to set up your truck, taking abbreviated lunches outside the prescribed time period, skipping breaks, short cutting methods, while leaving another half hour or more on the table.

Like I said, you guys all tell the same story.

I take my full lunch and break, albeit not during the contractually required times. I do come in early but more out of habit than anything as my new preloader rarely needs help. My methods are spot on.

They will never admit it but I'm sure they sort and move packages up to the selection areas during at least some of their lunch time.

Anyone who actually follows the methods and actually takes every minute of their breaks and runs an hour under every day definitely needs a new time study done on their route. Or they need to tell the truth.

Who moves packages in to the selection area anymore?

My lunch is spent at my home. The pkg car sits on the street out front, lights on, 4-ways on, DIAD locked in the cargo area.

I have noticed an increase in the number of SurePost, especially "close proximity" packages, on my area.

I don't understand why some people just don't realize that some routes have good times on them, and bonus can be done, and not having bonus just takes money out of Teamster pockets. People are going to do what they do, and bonus makes little effect as to how they do their job, and the ones that it does, usually aren't around long, and do a poor job.

Do you enter your lunch in the diad as if you are taking it during the contractually required time? If you are, and taking your lunch at another time you are falsifying records. You may not be stealing time but this is not something we should make a habit of.

He has stated in another thread that he takes part of his break while waiting on a drop box pickup. That right there is a good indication that there is probably other shenanigans taking place on that route every day.
