It would be nice if they tried it here, but I doubt that will ever happen.
Our federal goverment has far too many billions of our tax dollars tied up in the "war on drugs" to even consider the idea of admitting that the war is unwinnable, or to admit the obvious reality that we lost the war decades ago.
Unfortunately, our goverment approach to the problem is identical to how UPS manages its operations. If doesnt work...pretend that it works anyway. Keep trying to pound that square peg of impossible expectations into the round hole of reality, no matter how much damage it causes. If you devote enough time towards
assigning blame for the problem, you never have to actually
solve the problem. The parallels between the "war on drugs" and the manner in which UPS manages our daily operations are obvious, and rather frightening if you think about them.
