Just when you think the job couldn't get more stupider, management will outdo itself.
Twice in the last couple years , our box truck or bertha whatever was loaded up with a rural route. 250 miles maybe 80ish stops.

One cover driver took it out on the journey.

The 2nd cover refused & they ended up getting a rental.

I believe it was raining or had been on both occasions.

Our berthas are only used for shuttling late air, mall support or large scale business pu

Cattle car
Pup
Hog

To the original poster:
It has already been said, but work at a constant pace, work safely, and don't speed up when you get hit; just maintain pace. Let management figure out the rest.

Part on order, ok to drive
We just call them a 24 footer here... we’ll at least in automotive and the car washers seem to call them that as well.

We used to call them “city vans” a long time ago, now just “vans”. My first Route was an industrial park and I backed up to docks all day in an old Ford cabover.
