I've been at UPS over 5 yrs now but this is the first year i actually didn't use any option days. I still have all of them.

My question is when do we get paid out for unused optional/vacation days/weeks?

Differs by region. HERE in Mass, we get ours paid just after May 1st.

It all depend when your vacation year starts and ends as Over9five has said.

I take all my sick days, personal days and vacation weeks I get and more. You would have to be nuts not use all your days....

I was just wondering this today. I haven't taken a single day off since becoming a driver back in April. I don't feel like I need a day off. Plus I work weekends at my other job. Checked my pay stub and I have:

2 weeks vacation
48 h OPD
80 h other

= 208 hours!

Not even sure what all those hours are. How can "other" be 80 hours?

That will be a sweet pay day in May.

"Other" hours is your sick time...so apparently you have 10 sick days. Assuming you can't roll over your sick time (some locals you can, you can't in mine), they tax that check in May at a higher rate than a regular paycheck.

I know those are sick days but the amount surprised me. Apparently, the amount of days increases when you go full time?

As a part timer, I got 5 sick days, 3 OPD's a year. Now, I'm showing 10 sick and 6 personal. I didn't realize it doubled.

Sweet!
