What is your objection to having a secure border and only letting in people who were thoroughly vetted in their own country? A million a year not enough for you? Or are you going to just defend whatever the Democratic Party wants no matter how stupid or dangerous the idea is? You do realize that a lot of people on our terrorist watch list have also gotten through the southern border? And this isn't about making sure we have enough labor. It's about the potential votes the Democrats believe they'll get to tip the balance of power completely in their favor.

They can start by making it illegal to hire illegal immigrants. A good start is any illegal immigrant arrested be turned immediately over to ICE.

That isn’t completely unreasonable. Although I’ll be honest, I kind of don’t mind my tax money being used to imprison the rapists for decades before they are then immediately deported

I would prefer taxes go towards building the border wall. If you want to execute murderers, rapists, and child molesters that would work.
