Ill tell you what is really sad.
The amount of drivers thst ended up getting a buyout because they had permanent career ending injuries.

Lots of them are runner gunners! Take care of your body that’s the only one you have and the company doesn’t care. Definitely get a good work comp lawyer or you’re gonna get screwed.

Actually the last few weren't runners.
I think its the amount of work that they put on everyone plus the ridiculous size and weight of some of these packages we have to deliver

For sure it’s not all runner gunners, but they go down a lot sooner. Most of us have not used the contract to its full advantage, especially with overweight packages and asking for help. Over time, packages like that take their toll on your body. And the amount of them we have now is greater than it’s ever been.
W/C works different in every state, I was not a runner/gunner but did have an injury or two, the cases I kept open through my years there were paid off to me when I retired and only for future medical cost's.

Ive worked here a very long while….have seen my share of these buyouts, early retirement, layoffs, restructuring transformation…etc, etc……always surprised how despite the company’s desire to get rid of management personnel the laziest, dumbest, fattest, inept, incompetent, disgusting, vile, putrid, ugly, stupid, miserable most pitiful examples of not only management but mankind in general seem to always live to fight another day….its crazy…..like surely so and so will get bounced…..nope…
