Ok so im a tues- saturday driver and apparently im scheduled to work tomorrow. From my understanding from past holidays us when a holiday lands on a monday you would get the tuesday off aswell and since there were holidays on both mon and tues i thought Wednesday would of been a off day aswell. For example, mon- fri drivers got the 4 day weekend and tues- sat drivers only get 3 day weekend? Im in the central btw

Just take the rest of the week off and let someone who wants to work, work.

In the Central Region, the answer is.... No.

It's not a contactual issue.

What you're probably thinking of, is when the holiday falls on a Sunday and the

company "observes" the holiday on Monday. Thus avoiding paying 1 x 1/2 on Friday.

Your situation is no different than a Tues-Sat feeder driver.

Also New Years Eve isn't a holiday technically.
Lots of people worked.

What ?

In the Central Region, it has been a paid Holiday since (at least) 1973.

Hence the reason.... for holiday pay plus double time for hours worked.

Are you a full-time driver (or inside) employee, or part-time ?
