scratch king,
Don't even go there.
Once the company gets their foot in the door by using PT drivers they won't stop until there are no more full time drivers.
I can't speak for you but this job is how I support my family. The overtime helps quite a bit.

scratch king: think about paying you $38/hour vs. adding an additional person, paying their benefits, paying to put the vehicle on the road, etc....

Giving you those stops probably makes more business sense.

It might make sense if you only look at the items you listed, but now add:

Additional workmans comp from overworked people. (Tired people make mistakes).
Sales leads take a big hit because your people have too much work already.
Public safety issues from tired drivers on the road too late.

Does it still make sense??

over9five: I agree the paid day should be reduced. I just don't think PT drivers are the way to do it.

getting out of the building by 8:30 would make a huge difference in return to building time,we rarely get out by 9:00

Our start time is 9. We leave by 920 or 925 because the preload is never wrapped and the air is never down.

10.5 nation wide? We were just told that we no longer have to be off the clock in eleven hours.
Now they can work me twelve hours, for two days than JUST 9.49.
